Consequently, the foursome plugged in, tuned in, turned up, and well, for all intents and purposes…we all dropped out a little bit. During the 45 minute, give or take, spot Key Party played, I sat, half anxious, as if I needed to go out, at that very moment, to purchase a loud speaker, and continue to walk around Boston exclaiming, “I found the next big thing!”. Although front man, Nigel Wilson, describes the group as “glam rock”, I beg to differ: he sells them short. Minus the outlandish clothing (said front man collects and creates jackets unlike anyone), Key Party possesses a sound that hints at both psychedelic and classic rock bands like Pink Floyd and The Who.
